THE SPOOF SEDER HAGGADAH: A Passover Parody of Mel Brooks Parodies!
Sing a parody of The Producers “Springtime for Hitler”, “Karpas for…” that will have your table laughing at our current crazy-making political and generational divide over our homeland; see if real life science fiction from ChatGPT does a better job with a Spaceballs parody than the human author; and imagine what it might be like to have had the Jewish epithet employed for satirical comedic effect instead of well, you know, in a Blazing Saddles parody for In Every Generation.
A great goof gift for your Seder hosts, but also a rollicking good time for the entire table.
Dave Cowen contributed humor to The New Yorker and McSweeney’s and popular song spoofs and sketches to Haggadot.com. His books have been Best Sellers in the Amazon categories of Parody, Religious Humor, Political Humor, History Humor, and, of course, Jewish Holidays and Haggadahs. He also produces two Substacks, one on comics and one on music, the latter mentioned on NPR.
