There is a medieval Jewish parable that during Creation, vessels containing the Divine Light shattered, scattering shards and light throughout the material universe.

Breakings cannot be separated from beginnings, and light comes in through the cracks. ♥

This refined, graceful mezuzah proudly displays its scroll. You can mount it as is, or give it the finishing touch (the beginning touch?) by easily adding your wedding glass to the empty spaces on either side of the scroll.

Dimensions: 4.5 x 1.5 inches

Materials: All Joy Stember pieces are handmade in pewter, sprayed with protective lacquer to prevent tarnishing. (Can be
hand-washed with a soft sponge, mild soap, and water.)

Joy Stember is an award-winning Judaica artist
and metalsmith from the Philadelphia area. Her handmade pieces are
lovingly fabricated by scoring and folding sheets of pewter to make
three-dimensional works of art. The gorgeous textures are pulled from
many influences and are embossed into the metal.

An enduring symbol of safety and protection for all who dwell within a home, a mezuzah consists of a prayer scroll in a decorative case, which is affixed to the front door jamb (and sometimes to interior doorposts as well). They make an especially good gift for a wedding or housewarming.
