Marrakesh Mezuzah (Pewter)
Ornate and elegant, the motifs on this pewter mezuzah were inspired by a Hanukkah lamp from nineteenth-century
Marrakesh, Morocco. The Jewish artists of Morocco, whose roots lay in
pre-expulsion Spain and Portugal, often integrated these different
cultures in their work, combining arabesque tracings, floral motifs,
stars of David, and latticework.
