Jewish Wedding Checklist

With more than 500 designs to choose from, the Museum has the largest selection of Ketubot in the Mid-Atlantic area and boasts the only walk-in Ketubah gallery. Visit us on the first floor adjacent to the Only in America gallery.
Breaking Glass
The Museum sells hand blown glass specifically made for breaking under the Chuppah. It has a round bottom with no stem, which provides added protection. A satin pouch and canvas cloth are included with purchase. After the wedding, the broken glass can be made into a Kiddush cup, Menorah, picture frame, or Mezuzah.
The tallis (also spelled tallit, talis, or prayer shawl) is the garment worn during Jewish prayer. In some Jewish traditions, the tallis is wrapped around the couple during the ceremony, to symbolize their unity.
Kiddush Cup
"Kiddush" refers to the Jewish ceremony and blessings that are recited before the drinking of grape wine. Kiddush is recited on Shabbat, many Jewish holidays, and special occasions. The wedding couple also drinks from a Kiddush cup during the wedding ceremony.
Gift Registry
