Jerusalem by Howard Fox
Jerusalem is the central element of this work. The borders contain two historic images of the old city, its architecture and foliage. At the top is a menorah, while at the base on a table sit the Shabbat candles. The colors embody the sandy sepias and reds of the Jerusalem landscape. The patterning is taken from the mosaics and textural patterns found in the area. This ketubah is drenched in the traditions of middle eastern aesthetics.
Fox's style spans the centuries and takes from many different cultural influences. From the Persian blue illuminated manuscripts that he first saw while visiting Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, as well as the floral patterns of 18th century Italian illumination, to contemporary landscape works, depicting places held dear to the couples being wedded.

Personalization means that the artist will fill in your Ketubah with information provided on your Ketubah form. An "unpersonalized" Ketubah means you will receive a Ketubah with blank spots where your information would be found. Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for completion.
Please Note: Store pick-up is not an option for personalized products (including all ketubahs and marzipan) unless you pay for shipping and enter the Museum’s address as the ship-to location.
