Magen David II Ketubah by Ruth Rudin
The Star of David, also known as “Magen David”, is a symbol that is most associated with Judaism and Jewish identity.Representing unity, connection, and the relationship between God and the Jewish people. In this ketubah, it represents the unity, love and long life relationship between the groom and the bride. ”Ani L’dodi V’dodi Li” – I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.
Ruth Rudin was born in Haifa, Israel. The artist's study and career in art started early in her life, and she studied extensively both in Wizo in Israel, and Mass College of Art in Boston. Ruth works in many media, including watercolors, inks, fabric painting, gouache and computer graphics. Her works have ranged from graphic designs such as magazine layouts, catalogs, folders, CD covers, book covers, brochures and more, to calligraphy and illustrations. Judaic themes, Israeli landscapes and cityscapes figure prominently in her work. All of Ruth Rudins Ketubot are made in and ship from Israel.
Personalization
Please fill out the Ketubah form and email to info@shoptheweitzman.org ('save as' to your desktop with your name as the file name) as soon as possible after ordering your Ketubah. Personalization means that the artist will fill in your Ketubah with information provided on your Ketubah form. An "unpersonalized" Ketubah means you will receive a Ketubah with blank spots where your information would be found. Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for completion.
Please Note: Store pick-up is not an option for personalized products (including all ketubahs and marzipan) unless you pay for shipping and enter the Museum’s address as the ship-to location.
